Our school is looking for exceptional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructors who would like to join our team. The ideal candidate has extensive first-hand knowledge of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and can follow the lesson plan material and make it engaging and relatable for students. An instructor at our school should be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to interestingly teaching the material. Instructors should be comfortable handling a busy reception and attending to client’s needs as well as answering questions from prospective students and families. Position to Fill: 2 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor

Responsibilities:

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

– High Energy/Self-motivated/ customer service minded

– In-depth knowledge of private training techniques from assessment to program design.

– Ensure that the Academy curriculum and Guidelines are being followed

– Be fully prepared to teach the curriculum each day

– Be present 30 minutes before class starts time

– Academy attendance tracking and promoting system for all students

– Able to generate, maintain, and demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.

– Respond professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, members, and staff.

– Knowledge of company policies, practices, and procedures, including emergency and safety

procedures.

– Define learning objectives for each student to meet their needs and abilities.

– Must be Proficient with basic skills in Word and Excel as well as usage of CRM (Clubworx).

– Ability to work, set up, plan, and execute special events.

– Remain informed about current trends in teaching methods, curriculum., etc.

Experience:

– Must be IBJJF or FJJ-Rio certified or registered

– Minimum 5 years international Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience

– BJJ Tournament International Record Preferred

– CPR & Standard First Aid Certificate is an asset

– Vulnerable Sectors Check required

– Comfortable working with children and adults

Preferred

-Administrative experience

-Import and Export experience

This job is open to applicants who do not have a post-secondary diploma or certification, however it is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $15.00 per hour
